Walking the red carpet in front of the world premiere of The Sky is Pink at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, on-screen character Priyanka Chopra Jonas was a stunner in high contrast lace outfit. She walked the red carpet with Farhan Akhtar and his better half Shibani Dandekar, Rohit Saraf, and the movie's director, Shonali Bose.

The Isn't It Romantic actor took to social media to share a progression of Instagram stories, where she can be seen marking signatures. Addressing Reuters, the actor differentiated her life while filming with the encounters of the characters in the movie.

"It was a really hard juxtaposition of real life for me," Chopra stated, "Especially because I was getting married and at the same time this film deals with loss, loss of a child, which is such an unnatural way of being."

She included that, in spite of the fact that the experience "was attempting," the help of a spouse, Nick Jonas, whom she married in December, made a difference.

"People get surprised when they see 'The Sky is Pink' and they're like, 'this is not a Bollywood movie.' Bollywood is not a genre!" Chopra told AFP in front of the premiere Friday. "It really is my quest to educate people in that."

The Hindi-language film recounts to the real story of the Chaudhury family, described by their expired teenaged little girl, Aisha, played by Zaira Wasim. It chronicles the down to earth, enthusiastic and relationship battles looked by Aisha's parents Aditi and Niren, depicted by Priyanka and Farhan Akthar, as she battles, and eventually capitulates to, an uncommon hereditary terminal disease that took her more seasoned sister's life decades sooner.

The real Aisha Chaudhury passed on Jan. 24, 2015, at 18, the day after her book, My Little Epiphanies, was distributed. The Sky is Pink closures with photos and video clips of the real Chaudhury family living the minutes portrayed in the film, including a TEDx talk Aisha gave in India in 2014.

"You … have to be very strong as partners to go through what they went through," Farhan said on the red carpet. He added he tried to "approach this part with a lot of … respect, and make sure that the dignity and grace that they've shown in real life comes through in the performance in the film."

The Sky is Pink was directed by Shonali Bose, who herself lost her 16-year-old child all of a sudden in an accident at the family's Los Angeles home in 2010. The film will make a big appearance in theaters on Oct. 11.
